WHAT WE DO

Annual Report »

Each year, Brookings produces an annual report highlighting our collective work and the impact it has had on the world. The annual report has, since 1983, also provided an opportunity for us to thank the generous donors whose financial support makes our work possible, while also demonstrating our commitment to transparency.

Introducing the David M. Rubenstein Fellowship Program »

Brookings is pleased to launch the David M. Rubenstein Fellowship Program. The challenges facing the United States and the world require rigorous, innovative, evidence-based research that generate fresh thinking and innovative policy solutions. Through this program, Brookings is seeking to increase diversity in our scholarly community by recruiting the next generation of rising stars and creative thinkers to help achieve our mission of improving governance in the United States and across the world.

WhAT WE STAND FOR

Research Independence and Integrity Policies »

The Brookings Institution is a nonprofit organization devoted to independent, in-depth research that leads to pragmatic and innovative ideas on how to solve problems facing society. Brookings’s commitment to institutional independence is rooted in the individual independence of its scholars. Therefore, the Institution does not take positions on issues.

Inclusion and Diversity »

Brookings recognizes that in order to produce high-quality research that informs innovative, practical policy recommendations, we need to ensure that our personnel represent a diversity of thought, experience and personal background. Such diversity within the workforce enhances the relevance and substance of our work, and also helps us adhere more closely to our guiding principles of quality, independence and impact.
