As managing director for the Economic Studies program, she directed staff engagement and staff development efforts, and provided leadership and management support across the program.

Prior to her work at Brookings, Kerry taught literature and composition at the George Washington University and Northern Virginia Community College and served as the executive director of the Falls Church Homeless Shelter. She holds a Ph.D. in American Literature from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Binghamton University (SUNY).
